Q&A with Erotisan Founder Noah
How did Erotisan originate?
The idea just hit me one day when I was online. My spider senses started tingling and I realized that the world needs an online platform specifically designed to facilitate progressive sexual expression in art and life.
How did the persona of Noah develop?
Well, this is a funny story. In the beginning, the name of the project was EroticArk. Our intent was to provide a safe and secure online vessel for the erotic community. The name Noah stuck even though we elected to sink the Ark in favour of Erotisan.
What does Erotisan mean?
The name is actually a portmanteau of the words erotic and artisan. However, an Erotisan is a person dedicated to creative sexual expression through any medium.
What is your vision for Erotisan?
My vision for Erotisan is really a shared vision of the entire Erotisan community. All over the world sex positive movements in art and society are breaking traditional boundaries, biases and repressions. Our vision is to create a dedicated platform to help effect that change.
How do you define the difference between erotic art and pornography?
The question is very subjective; personally, I look at whether or not the subject matter is gratuitous. For me, if sexual content is void of artistic expression then it is pornographic.
What, to you, are the three most important things in life?
Freedom, Love and Awareness.
